In his life John Lennon wrote and published two books of short stories and prose poems, In His Own Write (1964) and A Spaniard in the Works (1965). In 1966 the two books were published together by Penguin under the name The Penguin John Lennon which was re-published after his death by Simon & Schuster in 1981 as The Writings of John Lennon.
Lennon revealed a rebellious nature and acerbic wit in his music, his writing, on film, and in interviews, and became controversial through his work as a peace activist. 9 de oct. de 2012 · If you're a fan of John Lennon - of his music, art and writings - then I highly recommend this book. It's beautifully presented, as a large hardback publication. It presents nearly 400 pages of 'letters' (from correspondence to postcards to jottings and notes) written by Lennon, from his youth through to adulthood.
