De jaren '70-albums van Pink Floyd waren in ieder geval uitstekend geproduceerd, ook The Wall waarin Bob Ezrin voor een fabelachtig, ruimtelijk geluid zorgde met soms de nodige bombast (maar niet overdreven). Animals had een rauwe productie, past precies bij het onderwerp.
