The Tony Ferrino Phenomenon is a British comedy written by and starring Steve Coogan and produced by Pozzitive Television. It centres around a show given by the Portuguese singer Tony Ferrino (played by Coogan), a music and dance spectacular which featured pop stars Mick Hucknall, Kim Wilde and Gary Wilmot in guest roles. It's hard to understand why, at the peak of his fame on TV with both Paul Calf and Alan Partridge having been met with critical and commercial acclaim, Steve Coogan's attempt at a third alter ego, that of the arrogant, womanising and misogynist Latin crooner Tony Ferrino, failed to find an audience.
