1 de dic. de 2006 · The Tailor of Gloucester was Beatrix Potter's favourite of her children's books. It's a terrific Christmas story of compassion and forgiveness, generosity and kindness; there is also the wonderful character of Simpkins the cat who learns a lesson and changes his ways!

Synopsis. A tailor in Gloucester sends his cat Simpkin to buy food and a twist of cherry-coloured silk to complete a waistcoat commissioned by the mayor for his wedding on Christmas morning. While Simpkin is gone, the tailor finds mice the cat has imprisoned under teacups. The mice are released and scamper away.
