The Ronettes -- The Best Part of Breaking Up (1964) This song has LAYERS and I love them all. Everything going on in the background is great. And Ronnie Bennett's voice is incredible. She idolized Frankie Lymon as a kid, used to walk by his house to get a glimpse of him. They sound pretty similar.
