Filmed in Panama, Tanzania, Kiribati and the Cook Islands, each episode follows a different family as they leave their home comforts in the United Kingdom, and set out in search of the secrets to a better life. As soon as they arrive, they have to fend for themselves, building shelters and foraging for food in the wild.
