The Perks of Being a Wallflower contains many themes and topics, such as drugs, sex, alcohol, abuse, sexuality and even more so life as a teenager with issues. Each topic is dealt with in ways that make them so real. The thing I loved about Charlie is that he didn't exaggerate, he told things how they were and this is what makes them so real.
