The Other Guys pôsobia dojmom, že Ferrell a spol to nakrúcali so zubami zahryznutými do jazyka a neidú vôbec na doraz (a to v oných komédiách išli ešte ďalej ako na doraz!). Málo vulgárnosti, oplzlého humoru, absurdity... nahradila ich bohovská akcia a nadupané efekty.
