Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing): THE SKINNY: Back in the ’80s, ferocious Boston post-punks Mission Of Burma made one great EP and one greater album before breaking up. You get the best of both here, along with some cuts.
Early Boston hardcore from one of the first Boston post punk bands. With their noisier sound on their demos, live material and their 1982 album Vs., you could consider Mission Of Burma one of the first post hardcore bands as well. It's also no coincidence that the members were listening to a lot of the bands active in the local scene at the time.

Check out the mix tape the band made MAGNET: Mission Of Burma Makes MAGNET A Mix Tape. Mission Of Burma is uniformly recognized as one of the greatest post-punk bands of all time.
