Here’s what I said about it back then (with some minor editing): THE SKINNY: Back in the ’80s, ferocious Boston post-punks Mission Of Burma made one great EP and one greater album before breaking up. You get the best of both here, along with some cuts.

With their noisier sound on their demos, live material and their 1982 album Vs., you could consider Mission Of Burma one of the first post hardcore bands as well. It's also no coincidence that the members were listening to a lot of the bands active in the local scene at the time.
