  1. Another of Scott's 'banned' LPs. This one has a classy sound. It plays like a follow-up to the last five tracks on 'Til the Band Comes In. Half of the LP is excellent (This Way Mary, Speak Softly Love, Glory Road, The Summer Knows, The Ballad of Sacco and Vanzetti, Easy Come Easy Go), but Joe Hill and All is His Children do nothing for me.

The album was poorly received by critics and if we exclude a 1975 reissue on Contour Label, it has since been deleted till this very welcomed re release.

Having recently started to collect vinyl again, I was pleasantly surprised to come across The Moviegoer which I had previously bought on audio-cassette way back in the 1970's on the Philips label. This was the seventh studio album recorded by Scott Walker in 1972 and comprises a selection of some of Scott's favourite film themes.

Anche se statunitense di nascita, ebbe i maggiori successi della sua carriera nel Regno Unito , dove fece il suo debutto a Londra negli anni sessanta con il trio di finti fratelli The Walker Brothers [8] .
