The Madcap Laughs ist das Debüt-Solo-Album des Singer-Songwriters Syd Barrett aus dem Jahr 1970. Released in a front laminated gatefold sleeve with the disc housed in the rear opening and the front opening is glued shut with no inner flap. The backcover states printing date 6911 (November 1969). This was clearly in advance of the 1970 release date. Variation 1: 'PATENT APPLIED FOR' and 'MADE IN ENGLAND'.

6 de ene. de 2013 · The debut record from ex-Pink Floyd member Syd Barrett truly plods along. This feels more like a poorly worked Beatles impersonation than anything else. At its best, the vocals are sub-par, and at its worst like on the track If It's in You, they're awful. Perhaps I'm missing something greater, but I'm not all that impressed at the moment.
