Soundgarden tuvo que cancelar diversos shows para evitar que éstas quedasen dañadas de forma permanente. Cornell utilizó este tiempo para colaborar con el mítico Alice Cooper en su álbum "Last Temptation", y escribió junto a él la canción "Stolen Prayer", en la que también canta.
