The Jags were a British rock band formed in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England, in 1978, composed of Nicole Watkinson , John Alder (guitar/backing vocals), Steve Prudence , firstly Neil Whittaker and then Alex Baird , Michael Cotton (bass/backing vocals) and Patrick O'Toole (piano/keyboard).
What is JAGS? JAGS is Just Another Gibbs Sampler. It is a program for analysis of Bayesian hierarchical models using Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) simulation not wholly unlike BUGS . JAGS was written with three aims in mind: To have a cross-platform engine for the BUGS language.
