  3. the idler wheel is my 2nd favorite album of hers, and I think its biggest strength is its writing. regret, werewolf, and left alone are some of her best written songs imo. it’s instrumentally also her most bare, which I can see as being a detractor from its quality for many, but I love that because it’s not only well done but emphasizes the writing all the more.
