By ’67, he was signed as a writer to the American publisher Robbins Music, collecting further covers by such artists as Jeff Beck, the Shadows, Cher and PJ Proby. He also started work, with future Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones, on what would become the album ‘The Graham Gouldman Thing’ for RCA.
