The Flower Kings är ett svenskt progressivt rockband som uppstod under den så kallade tredje vågen på 1990-talet. Det bildades augusti 1994 som kompband till Roine Stolts turné till skivan The Flower King.. Bandets musik skiljer sig från många andras inom den neo-progressiva rocken genom att vara mer komplex och har därmed fler likheter med symfonirocken.
8 de abr. de 2022 · The Flower Kings have announced that they'll be releasing their back catalogue via InsideOut in 2022 and 2023, starting with remastered editions of Back In The World Of Adventures and Retropolis. Both will be released on limited edition Digipak CDs and gatefold LP on May 27 – they've been remastered and include updated artwork and liner notes from band leader Roine Stolt .

The Flower Kings is een Zweedse band uit 1995 rond gitarist Roine Stolt. Naast Stolt was toetsenist Tomas Bodin jarenlang degene met de meeste muzikale invloed. In de jaren negentig komt door een hernieuwde belangstelling voor de symfonische rock, dan omgedoopt tot progressieve rock , een hele reeks bands naar voren, waarvan een relatief groot aantal uit Zweden.
