It took the premise that a real-life sex offender (Paul Gadd, formerly the hugely successful Glam rock artist Gary Glitter) might face the death penalty in a new England which metes out capital punishment for paedophilic offenders. At this time, Glitter had been convinced of some offences in Vietnam but not necessarily the ones on show here.
