The Edge of Love je dosť ťažké hodnotiť. Je totiž plný vzostupov a pádov a divák si musí neustále porovnávať fakty a o čo vo filme vlastne ide. Vzťah Medzi Dylanom a Verou je ukázaný dosť nedôveryhodne, naopak priateľstvo medzi Verou a Caitlin je neskutočne emotívne. Je to skrátka trochu nevyrovnaný film.
