Chris Hillman is much more than a rock star. He is truly a founding father of American music and a man who has faced down the challenges of life to discover what really matters.
The Desert Rose Band was a country rock band from California, founded by Chris Hillman (formerly of The Byrds and the Flying Burrito Brothers), along with Herb Pedersen and John Jorgenson, in 1985.
For the first time in over ten years, the Desert Rose Band reunites for a special concert at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in honor of the new exhibit Western Edge: The Roots and Reverberations of Los Angeles Country-Rock.. In 1986, former member of the Byrds and Flying Burrito Brothers Chris Hillman founded the band with Herb Pedersen and John Jorgenson.
The Desert Rose Band ontstond in 1986 uit deze cirkel van uitstekende instrumentalisten. Sommigen haakten echter in de beginfase af, omdat ze niet in commercieel succes geloofden. Al Perkins vervoegde zich bij Dolly Parton en werd vervangen door Jay Dee Maness. [8] John Jorgenson [9] kwam voor Bernie Leadon.
