We offer the opportunity for school counselors to grow professionally, learn about best practices specific to New Mexico, and encourage school counselors to get involved at the local or state level or as a NMSCA Board Member.

Students will be required to spend a minimum of 600 supervised hours in a school setting for internship. The focus of the internship is on experiences that involve the full scope of the school counselor’s role and function.

Hawaii State Approved Teacher Education Programs (SATEP) will incorporate these Performance Standards into their programs no later than of July 1, 2023.
