Plot. Sam Whipple, a broke lawyer who is nevertheless young at heart, meets Santa Claus and learns that he is upset because he has a new landlord named Phineas T. Prune, to whom Santa owes a great deal of rent. Prune has threatened to confiscate Santa's toys and have him, Mrs. Claus and the elves evicted.

As Christmas Eve approaches, a small boy learns of Santa's dilemma and races to tell everyone that Santa Claus needs money. The children of the world respond by running to Santa with their pennies. With the rent paid, Santa loads his sleigh and streaks through the sky to deliver his presents.

Synopsis. One evening, attorney Sam Whipple (Paul Tripp) is surprised to encounter Santa Claus (Alberto Rabagliati). Santa explains to Whipple that a multi-zillionaire named Phineas T Prune (Rossano Brazzi) has purchased the North Pole, and threatening to evict him by midnight on December 24th, if he doesn't pay the rent Prune claims he owes.
