  6. 13 de dic. de 2022 · In some ways, The Catherine Wheel is David Byrne’s most overtly avant-garde work to date. It’s also his most rhythmically informed album, featuring two full-time percussionists, Yogi Horton and John Chernoff.

What you’ll find on the soundtrack to The Catherine Wheel is the same mixed media approach of My Life (“Eggs in a Briar Patch,” “The Red House”), herky-jerky Heads trips (“My Big Hands,” “Big Blue Plymouth”) and ambient pieces (“Cloud Chamber,” “Light Bath”). Eno has a hand in it but not a big one; The Catherine Wheel is clearly Byrne’s show.
