The Blue Aeroplanes. English indie rock band founded in 1981 in Bristol by ex-members of short-lived punk band Art Objects by brothers Gerard and John, along with dancer Wojtek. The name Blue Aeroplanes comes from the Polish "Niebieske Samoloty" which was originally going to be the name of Wojtek's brother's band.
