Full of tension and atmosphere, the Blood Beast's storyline is similar to Hammer's Reptile. Having a giant moth as a blood feasting monster makes a refreshing change from Frankenstein/Dracula, and Cushing isn't playing a doctor for once, but an inspector who is hunting for the blood beast terror.
