Plot summary. "The Attack" is a 2012 drama film directed by Ziad Doueiri and based on the novel of the same name by Yasmina Khadra. The story is set in Tel Aviv and follows an Arab-Israeli surgeon, Dr. Amin Jaafari, who is fully assimilated into Israeli society. He has a successful career and is happily married to Siham.
