Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places idk. BUT. The chorus melody of Butterfly Kisses (at 0:48) is the same as one of Joni's verse melodies in River (at 0:18). The songs are in the same key - C major - and have a similar slow pace. Anyone have any insight on how Joni didn't receive a writing credit or is there a story behind this at all?

The video sees McFly with the children of Uganda, playing with them, performing for them, and teaching them to sing. Towards the end of the video, McFly's vocals are removed for a chorus sung by the children.
