Mainly just here to vent because I don’t have the support to actually voice my concerns. I teach 10th grade ELA in an alternative high school, and I refuse to teach down to students. Of course I meet them where they are, and scaffold. But I don’t let them off the hook. I push them to try because I’ve seen what they can do when they try.
