As Rod Stewart’s solo career became more successful than that of the group, the band became overshadowed by their lead singer. Ronnie Lane left the band in 1973 and was taken over by Tetsu Yamauchi. The Faces final studio album with Lane was Ooh La La, released just months before he left the band.
