Theodore Anthony Sarandos Jr. is an American businessman who is the co-chief executive officer of Netflix, Inc. [2] [3] [4] [5] Early life. Sarandos was born in Phoenix, Arizona. His father was Ted Sarandos Sr., an electrician, and his mother was a housewife. He is the fourth of five children, with three older sisters and a younger brother.
Ted Sarandos was named co-CEO of Netflix in July 2020. He has been responsible for all content operations since 2000, and led the company's transition into original content production that began in 2013 with the launch of the series ‘House of Cards,’ ‘Arrested Development’ and ‘Orange Is the New Black’ among numerous others.
