  1. Initially as 'Tangerine Record Corporation' changing to 'Tangerine Records' in the mid-60s. The label's output was devoted to West Coast and jump-blues; on it's roster were artists like Louis Jordan, Percy Mayfield, Lula Reed, Ike and Tina Turner, and Charles' vocal backing group The Raelettes.

  2. Eras. Tangerine Dream's releases have been divided into several eras based on the record label of the time. Tangerine Dream's first releases were on the Ohr label. The Ohr logo was a pink ear, thus fans refer to this era as the Pink Years; this covers Electronic Meditation (1970) to Atem (1973). In 1974, the band switched to Virgin Records with the release of Phaedra, thus the Virgin Years.

  5. I had the privilege of "inheriting" some records from my uncle's 500+ piece 70's record collection and STRATOSFEAR was one of them. I wasn't even born when this was released but I enjoy this a lot - not knowing all that much about electronic music from back in the day I can only marvel in appreciation at what they must have accomplished at the time.
