(1983) Het openingsnummer is symfonisch in optima forma: lang, complex, tempowisselingen, kortom alles om de gemiddelde muziekcriticus tot wanhoop te drijven. Het album kent teveel zwakke punten om een echte klassieker te worden, maar duidelijk was al wel dat hier iets moois stond te gebeuren.
13 de ene. de 2013 · Das im Jahr 1983 veröffentlichte "Tales From The Lush Attic" litt unter einer grausamen Klangqualität. Dieses Manko wurde mit diesem 2013er Remix beeindruckend beseitigt. Endlich kann ich dieses Frühwerk von IQ richtig genießen.

Tales from the Lush Attic, IQ's debut from 1983 (exactly the same vintage as Script for a Jester's Tear), wears its Genesis influences even more openly than Marillion: singer Peter Nicholls does a better Peter Gabriel impersonation than Phil Collins, and the band trade Mike Rutherford/Tony Banks riffs with gleeful abandon.
