Tadanobu Asano (Yokohama, 27 de noviembre de 1973) es un actor japonés que ha trabajado con directores como Takeshi Kitano, Nagisa Oshima, Pen-Ek Ratanaruang, Takashi Miike, Hirokazu Kore-eda, Hou Hsiao Hsien, Peter Berg o Martin Scorsese entre otros.
He portrayed the thunder god Raiden in the 2021 film Mortal Kombat and will reprise his role in the upcoming sequel . Asano achieved more widespread recognition in 2024 for his portrayal of Lord Kashigi Yabushige in the FX limited series Shōgun, based on the book by James Clavell .
