Piranesi loves the sprawling behemoth of a building that is the whole World, the only place he’s ever known. He also loves Capitalizing things Unnecessarily in his Journals, which is how the story is told.

Short stories set in the same world as “Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell”, exploring the magic, the perspective of women and ominous owls 🦉🦉🦉… A similar tone to the longer novel, with wry humour and in depth world building. Some of the stories felt more detached than others.
