Susan Mailer (born August 28, 1949) is an American psychoanalyst, writer, and academic who has lived in Chile since the 1980s. Mailer is the firstborn child of American writer Norman Mailer and his first wife, Beatrice Silverman.

Susan Mailer nació en Los Ángeles, California. Pasó su infancia y adolescencia entre Nueva York con su padre el escritor Norman Mailer, y México con su madre Bea Silverman. Se graduó de Barnard College, Columbia University en 1971, y posteriormente obtuvo una maestría en Psicología Clínica en la Universidad Nacional de México, UNAM.
