Supertramp. British/American rock band formed in London, England in 1969 - Disbanded in 1988 - Reunited intermittently from 1996 to 2002 - Reformed in 2010/11 for European tour. Rick Davies, John Helliwell and Bob Siebenberg are the only members of the "classic" lineup remaining in the band to this day. Roger Hodgson left the band in 1983.
Supertramp is een Britse symfonische-rockgroep, met een door Wurlitzer-piano en saxofoon gedomineerd geluid. De band werd in 1969 opgericht door Rick Davies (zang en toetsinstrumenten) en de latere King Crimson -tekstschrijver Richard Palmer-James (zang en gitaar). Davies speelde eerder in The Joint samen met Steve Jolliffe, later Tangerine Dream.
