Swanlund bought his first amplifier from Doug when he was 13 years old. In 1993, The Marshall Tucker Band was made up of Gray, Jerry Eubanks, Rusty Milner, Tim Lawter, Stuart Swanlund, and David Allen. Ironically enough, Lawter, Swanlund and Allen had previously been band-mates at home in Spartanburg in Lightnin’ West and White Wind.
