Peter Sinfield is best known as the lyricist and a founding member of the original King Crimson and its immediate offshoots, up through the version of the band that recorded Islands in late 1971. He later took on a similar role, as lyricist for Emerson, Lake & Palmer and for the Italian progressive rock band PFM, at just about the same time that he recorded his one and only solo album, Still.
Pete Sinfield is best known as the lyricist for King Crimson and ELP. His classic 1973 solo album was one of the first releases on ELP’s Manticore label and features contributions from Greg Lake, Ian Wallace, Mel Collins, John Wetton, Keith Tippett, and many more musicians. The album has a strong early King Crimson flavor.
13 de nov. de 2020 · Still was a hard album for me to get into when first released on CD as it suffered from abrasive sounding EQing to go along with it's unattractive (for me) sound mix, with Peter Sinfield's vocals deep in the mix and heavily bathed in echo. Lo and behold, a 2009 remastered edition with proper EQing by Esoteric Records made for a listenable sound.
