The discography of American rock group Steve Miller Band is composed of 18 studio albums (including one solo album by Steve Miller ), six live albums, 11 compilation albums, three video albums and 30 singles. Originally called the Steve Miller Blues Band, the group first made its mark as a psychedelic blues rock band in San Francisco.
The band, consisting of Miller, guitarist James Cooke, bassist Lonnie Turner, drummer Tim Davis (who replaced the departing Lance Haas) and Jim Peterman on Hammond B3 organ, backed Chuck Berry at a gig at the Fillmore Auditorium that was released as the live album, Live at Fillmore Auditorium.
