    March 31, 2021 ·. Some very sad news. Steve Makin who was one of the original members of Slade II, has passed away. He was a consummate guitarist and guitar teacher and a fundamental part of the first Slade II lineup. Before Slade he was a very well respected guitarist in the rock scene in Birmingham where he was born, and lately lived in Cornwall.

Fenney was then replaced by Trevor Holliday (1994), then Makin left (1996). Holliday was replaced by Dave Glover (2000), who in turn was replaced by John Berry (2003).
