Steven Earl Lewis - (n. el 16 de mayo de 1969 en Los Ángeles, California) es un atleta estadounidense especialista en los 400 metros lisos. Biography. Although an unknown 19-year-old in 1988, Steve Lewis had a spectacular season, completely rewriting the world junior all-time list in the 400 m, and winning an Olympic gold medal. Lewis had been third at the US Olympic Trials, and was not considered a potential medalist before the Olympic 400 m final, with Butch Reynolds heavily favored.
Steve Lewis is a former Olympic champion and world record holder in the 400 meters and the 4x400 relay. He won gold at Seoul in 1988 and silver at Barcelona in 1992, and is the youngest man ever to win the 400m at the Games.
