Stephen Fain Earle (Hampton. Virginia, 17 de enero de 1955), conocido como Steve Earle, es un cantante y compositor de música country y rock estadounidense. Aunque es más conocido por la música, también ejerce ocasionalmente como escritor y activista político.
Stephen Fain Earle ( / ɜːrl /; born January 17, 1955) is an American country, rock and folk singer-songwriter. He began his career as a songwriter in Nashville and released his first EP in 1982. Earle's breakthrough album was the 1986 debut album Guitar Town; the eponymous lead single peaked at number 7 on the Billboard Hot Country chart.
At the moment, he’s writing two books, his second play, and hosts his long running The Steve Earle Show: Hardcore Troubadour Radio on Sirius XM. Throughout the pandemic, he also hosted Steve Earle’s Guitar Town, a YouTube series about his massive instrument collection. “I'm just trying to stay out of trouble,” says Earle with a laugh.

Earle is the host of the weekly show Hard Core Troubadour on Sirius Radio’s Outlaw Country channel. In 2020, Earle was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. And in 2023, Steve was honored by the Bruce Springsteen Archives & Center for American Music.
