Steve Brookins. Steve Brookins was another original member of 38 Special, serving alongside Jack Grondin as a drummer and percussionist from 1974 to 1987. His dynamic playing style contributed to the band’s driving rhythm section during their rise to fame in the late 70s and early 80s.
