1970s–1980s. In 1970, Levin moved to New York City, joining a band called Aha, the Attack of the Green Slime Beast, with Don Preston of The Mothers of Invention.
Stereotype Be is an unusually natural marriage of normally disparate musical elements, ultimately leading to a beautiful and emotional journey. Now keep in mind, this isn't exactly progressive rock in the traditional sense; there are no wonky time signature changes or extremely lengthy compositions.
