My Bloody Valentine experienced a number of line-up changes during their initial months. Lead guitarist Stephen Ivers and bassist Mark Ross were recruited in April 1983 and the band would often rehearse near Smithfield and Temple Bar in rehearsal spaces owned by Aidan Walsh.
My Bloody Valentine are an alternative rock band formed in Dublin, Ireland in 1983. Since 1987, the band's lineup has consisted of founding members Kevin Shields (vocals, guitar) and Colm Ó Cíosóig (drums), with Bilinda Butcher (vocals, guitar) and Debbie Googe (bass).
Stephen Ivers (ex Atonomy) was a member during 1983-84. He left to join The Vampyres, a band that never got beyond the rehearsal stage, which also included future Gorehound Alan Byrne. He did some recording with Stano in 1985 (unreleased).

18 de may. de 2023 · With guitarist Stephen Ivers, in March 1983 Shields and Conway recorded the band’s first demo in Shields’ parents’ home on a four-track recorder, with Shields and O'Ciosoig overdubbing rhythm tracks at Litton Lane Studios. On the strength of the demo, My Bloody Valentine signed with Tycoon Records.
