Stella Mann College of Performing Arts is an independent, co-educational performing arts school and college specialising in dance and musical theatre. The college is located in the Harpur area of Bedford, Bedfordshire, England.
Since Mary Breen took over from Stella in 1985, the College has diversified its training to include a wide range of up-to-date musical theatre and dance skills and styles.
All courses at Stella Mann College are designed to create versatile professional performers of the highest quality, who will have a wide knowledge of the business they will be entering and a strong base of transferable skills, vital for managing a career in the performing arts.
They settled in London where she established the Stella Mann Dance School in Finchley Road, pioneering teaching of modern dance. The school proved very successful, her former pupils spread across the world.
31 de ene. de 2013 · By the age of 17, she was teaching modern dance and when Germany declared an Anschluss with Austria, she had her own school with 500 pupils. She met British officer Derrick Ashby-Mott in 1944 as the Nazis were pushed back: he was a talented ballroom dancer.
