Vista general. The life of Stanley Duke, a fortysomething advertising executive, is thrown into turmoil when his son is diagnosed a schizophrenic. Making matters worse, Stanley's quiet home is suddenly besieged by a plethora of women, among them his past and current wives.

Stanley Duke is a middle aged advertising executive who's life is turned upside down when his son is diagnosed schizophrenic. To make matters worse Stanley's home is suddenly invaded by of his past and current wives amongst other women.
This series based on the 1984 novel of the same name by Kingsley Amis and adapted for the television by Nigel Kneale and directed by David Tucker, it was produced by Central Independent Television for the ITV network and originally aired in four parts from 28 November to 19 December 1991.
