In January 1958, high school student George Tomsco talked his best friend, Stan Lark, into joining an unnamed little combo for the annual PTA talent show at Ratón High School.

George Tomsco & Jimmy Gilmer performed together as The FIreballs on February 5, 2022 at the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa. Shortly after Jimmy developed health issues forcing him to retire.
