29 de nov. de 2023 · Mary Kitsmiller and her husband, Tom, who were parishioners at St. Philip since 1975, have six children who all graduated from St. Philip school. She said their family appreciated the church and school throughout the years.
St. Philip Church has been a central part of the African American Episcopal tradition in Columbus and central Ohio for over 130 years. We were organized as a mission of Trinity Episcopal Church in the fall of 1891 as a place for the African American parishioners to worship.
Our mission at St. Philip is to live and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ, to serve the needs of our local and global communities, and to support the evangelical work of the Episcopal church in the United States of America.
As a member of the Class of 1963, my memories and experiences overlap those of the Aquinas Classes of 1960, 1961, 1962, 1964, 1965 and August of 1965. Each class had its class clowns, scholars, and regular students who made our school days interesting - to say the least.
