St Edward's School is a public school (English fee-charging boarding and day school) in Oxford, England. It is known informally as 'Teddies'. [1] Approximately sixty pupils live in each of its thirteen houses.
St Edward’s School is a boarding school in Oxford, with strong links with the city and its university. It offers a diverse and rich learning environment, with access to culture, creativity and transport.
St Edward’s School was founded in 1863 by the Reverend Thomas Chamberlain, Senior Student and Honorary Canon of Christ Church Oxford, who at the time was the Vicar at St. Thomas the Martyr in Oxford.
St Edward’s believes in educating its pupils in an internationally conscientious environment, where an understanding and celebration of different cultures is the norm. We therefore welcome applications from international pupils at Years 9, 10 and 12.
St Edward’s, commonly known as ‘Teddies’ is a lovely boarding school in Oxford, on the Woodstock Road , leading out of the city to the North. The school is spread over both sides of the main road, connected by a tunnel. Every department is very well-kept and the facilities are great without being huge and flashy.
